SafeBound Moving SEO Case Study: From Brand-Led Search to 97% Non-Branded Visibility
SafeBound Moving & Storage already had the operation, licenses, and customer reviews.
The problem was that most people only found the company after they already knew its name.
We used our proprietary CITE framework to turn SafeBound's operational knowledge into a connected search and AI visibility system, built around the questions people ask before choosing a mover — moving costs, interstate routes, packing decisions, building requirements, and Florida-specific planning.
By June 2026, SafeBound had generated 210,203 Google impressions in 28 days, ranked across more than 1,000 measured search queries, and built a search footprint in which 97% of the ranking queries were non-branded.

SafeBound Had The Operation. Search Visibility Started Too Late.
SafeBound Moving & Storage is a licensed and insured Florida moving company serving residential, long-distance, and specialty-moving customers.
Based in South Florida, the company handles local moves, interstate relocations, packing, storage, and difficult items that require additional planning.
SafeBound had already built a strong local reputation and review profile.
Our job was to make that expertise visible earlier, while potential customers were still planning their move, researching their options, and deciding which company to trust.

The problem
SafeBound Was Visible After Buyers Already Knew Its Name
People planning a move rarely begin by searching for a specific moving company. They begin with questions such as:
- How much does it cost to move out of Florida?
- How far is Florida from Missouri?
- What size moving boxes do I need?
- When should I change my address?
- How do you move a hot tub?
- What happens if a box is damaged during delivery?
- Does my building require a certificate of insurance?
- How do I check whether a mover is properly licensed?
- What is the cost of living in South Florida?
These questions shape budgets, routes, timelines, and hiring decisions. SafeBound had the experience to answer them, but the website did not yet contain enough structured content to appear consistently during that research.
National directories, large retailers, and general content publishers occupied much of the available search space.
We needed to help SafeBound enter the customer journey before someone had already chosen which moving companies to consider.
What we did
We Applied Our Proprietary CITE Framework To Build Visibility Around Real Moving Decisions
We began publishing for SafeBound on 1 February 2026. This was not a standard blogging program.
We deployed CITE, our proprietary framework for turning a company's expertise into structured search and AI visibility infrastructure. We used it to:
- Identify the questions most closely connected to moving decisions
- Turn SafeBound's operational knowledge into useful first-party content
- Organise hundreds of pages into connected topic clusters
- Strengthen the signals connecting the content to SafeBound's services and expertise
- Measure which pages, questions, and topics were gaining visibility
We built the library around local and interstate moving costs, routes into and out of Florida, relocation timelines and address changes, packing supplies and box selection, apartments and building requirements, certificates of insurance, specialty items such as hot tubs and safes, mover licensing and consumer protection, binding and non-binding estimates, storage and long-distance logistics, hurricane-season and Florida-specific planning, and cost-of-living and destination research.
By 6 August 2026, we had published 793 guides. The number of pages expanded SafeBound's coverage, but volume alone did not produce the result. Our CITE framework determined why each page existed, which question it needed to answer, how it connected to related content, and where SafeBound's services belonged in the reader's journey.
We did not build a pile of unrelated blog posts. We built a connected moving resource around how customers research, compare, and prepare.
Our proprietary methodology
CITE Was The System Behind Every Page We Published
Most content programs begin with a keyword list and end with a collection of isolated articles. We built CITE because that approach does not create the level of clarity, connection, and authority required for search and AI visibility. For SafeBound, we used the framework to connect its services, locations, regulatory knowledge, practical experience, and customer questions into one coherent information system.

Search visibility
We Helped SafeBound Rank Across More Than 1,000 Moving Questions
Our June 2026 search snapshot captured the performance of the library while it was still smaller than its current 793-guide size. During that 28-day period, SafeBound recorded:
Google impressions
210,203
Google clicks
955
Top 3 / Top 10 / Top 20 queries
113 / 368 / 541
Guide URLs appearing in Google
535
The search footprint was no longer limited to SafeBound's name and core service pages. The guides were appearing while people researched routes, moving costs, packing questions, licensing requirements, and relocation decisions.
New customer discovery
We Shifted SafeBound Beyond Its Existing Brand Demand
Of the 1,000 queries captured in the search export, 966 were non-branded. That meant 97% of the measured queries came from searches that did not include the SafeBound name.
This is the visibility that creates new discovery. It allowed SafeBound to appear while potential customers were still:
- Estimating the cost of a move
- Comparing destinations
- Preparing their homes
- Checking building requirements
- Deciding whether they needed professional support
- Evaluating which mover to contact
We were no longer relying only on people who already knew the company. We had created hundreds of opportunities for SafeBound to be discovered earlier.

One guide, multiple entry points
We Turned One Florida Guide Into A Major Search Entrance
The Average Cost of Living in Florida guide became one of the strongest pages in the system we built. In June, it generated:
Google impressions
47,591
Google clicks
153
Average search position
~Position 5
We did not build it to rank for one exact phrase. We built it to answer a wider cluster of questions about Florida and South Florida living costs. Its Google reach nearly tripled in a single month, and one focused guide became a major entry point into the SafeBound website.
The business layer
We Turned Organic Search Into A Measurable Acquisition Channel
Between 1 February and 30 June 2026, organic search became SafeBound's most engaged real acquisition channel.
Visits from organic search
9,414
Total site visits
~42,800
Visits in June alone
12,880
The content library we built supplied many of those entry points, with the Cost of Living in Florida guide becoming one of the largest landing pages on the website. The work was not only increasing rankings and impressions — it was bringing real people into SafeBound's website while they were researching a move.
Early AI discovery
We Created SafeBound's First Measurable AI Referral Channel
Before we began the content program, SafeBound recorded no measurable visits from AI assistants. Between February and June, Google Analytics attributed 42 visits to platforms such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.
We report that carefully. The visits show that AI platforms had started surfacing SafeBound's pages often enough to send people to the website. They do not prove that SafeBound was directly cited in every generated answer.
Our controlled citation checks in August did not identify a direct SafeBound citation for the buyer questions we tested — national publishers such as Forbes were still being selected instead. We therefore report the 42 visits as an early AI discovery signal, not as a verified citation result.
Our CITE framework separates AI referral traffic, retrieval, explicit brand mentions, and verified source citations. We track each signal independently so clients can see what is actually happening rather than receiving one inflated visibility figure.
Five-month change
We Moved SafeBound From Brand-Led Search To Broad Moving Visibility
Before We Started
SafeBound already had:
- A licensed and insured moving operation
- Residential, long-distance, and specialty moving services
- A strong local review profile
- Practical knowledge of Florida and interstate moves
- An established customer-facing brand
What it did not have was enough visibility during the research that happens before someone selects a mover. The company appeared most reliably when someone already knew the SafeBound name.
After Five Months
We had helped SafeBound build:
- 793 published moving guides
- 535 guide URLs appearing in the June search snapshot
- more than 1,000 measured ranking queries
- 966 non-branded ranking queries
- 113 measured queries in the top three
- 368 measured queries in the top 10
- 541 measured queries in the top 20
- 210,203 Google impressions in 28 days
- 955 Google clicks in 28 days
- 9,414 organic-search visits since publishing began
- 42 visits attributed to AI assistants
- a connected moving library covering routes, costs, regulations, and practical preparation
We helped SafeBound begin appearing before a potential customer had decided which moving company to call.

What we achieved
We Helped SafeBound Appear Before The Moving Company Shortlist Was Formed
We moved SafeBound beyond relying mainly on branded demand. The company now appears while potential customers research moving routes, relocation costs, destination decisions, packing requirements, damaged items, mover licensing, building rules, long-distance logistics, and practical moving timelines.
More than 200,000 search impressions in 28 days created thousands of opportunities for SafeBound to be discovered before someone searched for the company by name.
Most of the current non-branded wins sit in the lower half of page one rather than at the very top. We present that honestly as strong early momentum, not market domination. We are still expanding the system, tracking which guides are climbing, and strengthening the areas closest to real-world moving decisions.
The direction is clear. Our proprietary CITE framework has helped move SafeBound's expertise into the research journey, giving the company more opportunities to be considered before a potential customer chooses who to call.
The work behind the result
We Start With The Visibility Gap, Then Build The Right Infrastructure
SafeBound needed broader visibility around the questions its customers ask before requesting a quote. Another company may need stronger first-party content, clearer positioning, better authority signals, or a more accurate view of which competitors are being recommended instead.
We use the CITE framework to diagnose that gap and determine what should be built next.
