AEO Case Studies: How We Build Search And AI Visibility
Different industries create different visibility problems.
A wealth management firm has different trust and compliance requirements from a supplement brand. A moving company needs to appear across routes, costs, and planning questions. Another organisation may already rank in Google but remain absent from the answers AI assistants generate.
We do not force them through the same playbook.
Using our proprietary CITE framework, we identify what is keeping a brand out of the questions its market is asking, build the search and AI visibility infrastructure needed to close that gap, then measure what changes.
These case studies show what that looks like across different industries.

Multiple industries
We do not force every engagement into the same success metric.
For one client, the breakthrough may be AI citations. For another, it may be non-branded search discovery, page-one visibility, broader topic coverage, or the ability to scale content safely in a regulated industry.
The result we report depends on the visibility problem we set out to solve.

What connects the results
The Visibility Problem Changes From Business To Business
Natural Rhythm needed broader visibility across supplement research and wanted its own pages to become usable sources for AI assistants.
SafeBound needed to break its dependence on branded search and reach people earlier in the moving journey.
GoalBased needed to scale financial content without separating visibility from compliance.
Sofer Advisors needed to turn existing expertise into a larger, more discoverable body of information.
The industries are different. The buying journeys are different. The trust signals are different. The implementation is different.
Our CITE framework is what stays consistent. We use it to identify what is missing, determine what should be built, and decide how success should be measured.
Our proprietary methodology
Every Engagement Runs Through Our CITE Framework
We developed CITE because visibility is not solved by publishing more content and hoping the right pages rank.
Search engines and AI assistants need enough information to understand what an organisation knows, what it does, why its claims can be trusted, and where its expertise is relevant.
Our proprietary CITE framework gives us a repeatable system for building those signals. Depending on the client, that can mean:
- Mapping the questions customers ask before they know the brand
- Turning first-party expertise into structured content
- Expanding coverage across connected topic areas
- Strengthening entity and authorship signals
- Supporting important claims with verifiable sources
- Connecting informational content to commercial pages
- Building compliance controls for regulated industries
- Structuring pages so search and AI systems can interpret them more easily
- Strengthening external authority where first-party content is not enough
- Measuring search visibility and AI visibility separately
We keep the framework consistent. We adapt the implementation to the industry, market, buying journey, and visibility gap.
No generic playbook
We Do Not Prescribe Content Before We Know What Is Missing
Publishing more is not always the answer.
A business can have hundreds of pages and still be absent from the questions that matter. Another may have excellent content but weak external authority. Another may rank well in Google but barely show up in AI-generated answers. And in regulated industries, the challenge may be scaling useful content without losing control of claims, disclosures, or source accuracy.
That is why we start by finding the gap. Then build around it.
Proof, not one visibility score
We Separate Search Rankings, AI Retrieval, Mentions, And Citations
AI visibility is easy to overstate when different signals are grouped together. We do not report it that way.
Organic search visibility
We measure ranking queries; top-three, top-10, and top-20 positions; impressions; clicks; visible landing pages; and non-branded discovery.
AI retrieval
We track whether an AI platform is finding and using a client's pages while constructing an answer. Retrieval is valuable, but it is not automatically a citation.
Brand mentions
We measure when the organisation is explicitly named in a generated answer.
Verified citations
When an AI assistant uses the client's website as a visible source, we record that separately.
AI referral traffic
Where analytics data is available, we also track visitors arriving from platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
The distinctions matter. They show us whether a business is absent, being considered, being mentioned, or actually being used as a source.
No black box
The Result Matters. So Does The System That Produced It.
A ranking on its own does not explain why something worked. Neither does publishing hundreds of pages.
Our case studies show both the result and what we built to produce it. That includes:
- Where the client started
- The visibility problem we identified
- How we applied the CITE framework
- What we built
- How the work changed by industry
- What search and AI systems began doing differently
- Which results we could verify
We would rather report a smaller result we can support than inflate a metric that does not tell the full story.
AEO services
The Right AEO Work Depends On What Is Missing
Every organisation starts from a different position.
Some need stronger first-party content. Others need better authority, clearer entity signals, broader search coverage, or a more accurate understanding of why competitors are being recommended instead.
Our services address different parts of that visibility problem.
AI Visibility Audit
We test how your organisation appears across the questions your market is already asking. We identify where you appear, where you do not, which competitors are being recommended, and which sources are influencing the answer.
Content Optimization
We improve how clearly your expertise, products, services, and supportable claims are presented across the pages people and AI systems rely on.
Digital PR
We build the external authority around your organisation, so search engines and AI systems have stronger independent signals to rely on.
Find Out What Is Missing From Your Search And AI Visibility
Our Free AI Visibility Audit examines how your organisation appears across the questions your market is asking now.
We will show you where your brand currently appears, which competitors are being recommended instead, which sources are shaping the answer, which questions create the strongest visibility opportunities, whether the gap is content, authority, or positioning, and which actions deserve priority.
You will leave with a clearer picture of where your organisation stands and what would need to change for it to appear more often.
